If you are near Oranienburger Straße, that’s this tourist-overrun street in Mitte, where you can visit the Tacheles, a former avantgarde location for artists of all kinds. There are still artists around Tacheles and the atmosphere is particular, even if some people claim that thing’s have been “more avantgarde” a few years ago.
Anyway…looking for a nice salad you will have the choice of Pakistani, Indian, and Thai food (restaurants with the beige fauteuils)…and a Cuban place across the street of the Tacheles entrance: I had salad with roasted chicken at that one. It was a bit oily for my taste, too much sauce and no particularly interesting choice of ingedients. This place is a lot better for Nachos, Tortillas and Cuban beer.
