Pizza, pasta è insalata, molto buoni!

The rocket-tomato salad garnished with tiny morzzarella balls is tasty and beautiful. Perfect for those who are not only gourmets but aesthetes.

Nevertheless, the atmosphere of this small hybrid food to go-restaurant place is more prone to a quick and dirty lunch time.

Things they do best: I would say ALL – finest Japanese food and tees – but could not yet try everything.

This little café is hidden in the shorter end of Kleine Hamburger Str.. You can best reach it from Oranienburger and then Auguststr.

I loved it’s rocket (Rucola:) salad with carrots, chashews, tomatoes, radish, and a lot more in it. They serve it with oil, vinegar, salt and peper, and a wheat bun.

QBA – Eating salads in Berlin-Mitte

If you are near Oranienburger Straße, that’s this tourist-overrun street in Mitte, where you can visit the Tacheles, a former avantgarde location for artists of all kinds. There are still artists around Tacheles and the atmosphere is particular, even if some people claim that thing’s have been „more avantgarde“ a few years ago.

Anyway…looking for a nice salad you will have the choice of Pakistani, Indian, and Thai food (restaurants with the beige fauteuils)…and a Cuban place across the street of the Tacheles entrance: I had salad with roasted chicken at that one. It was a bit oily for my taste, too much sauce and no particularly interesting choice of ingedients. This place is a lot better for Nachos, Tortillas and Cuban beer.
